Who we are looking for?

The Accounting Administrator's position at the Hotel has been defined so as to differentiate this job position from that of most hotels controller positions. The hotel Accounting Administrator submits daily and monthly published reports along with supporting documentation to the centralized accounting department. These reports are then use to generate daily journal entries for monthly closings and the publication of month end financial statements.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation for auditing and reference purposes.
  • Accurately maintain cash flow on site
  • Duties include regular entry of financial data into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Collaborate as needed and effectively with other departments and vendors to resolve any financial queries or discrepancies.
  • The job adheres to compliance with company policies, accounting procedure, and legal requirements.
  • Use of accounting software, Excel, Microsoft Office, Outlook and other relevant tools to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Invoices- receiving invoices from a large variety of vendors and ensuring accuracy in billing and coding
  • Perform other duties as requested by management

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hotel accounting, accounts payable, or receivables is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required; proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications strongly preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records. Math ability.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Pleasant and professional demeanor with effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • High integrity, trustworthy and reliable individual.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college education in accounting or related field is preferable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal.
  • Hilton OnQ experience will be given preference.

Physical abilities: Seeing, listening, hearing, speaking, grasping, bending, reaching, writing, stooping, lifting (up to 30 lbs.), sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, sorting, calculating.
