KPC Promise Hospital of OVERLAND PARK: Responsible for the day to day activities of the purchasing department including receiving, labeling, stocking, auditing, inventory, and distribution of supplies and materials to all areas of the facility, as well as timely submission of patient supply charges. He/She coordinates form management and office supply management, ordering, and discharging of equipment throughout the hospital and maintaining adequate inventory of equipment and disposables.


QUALIFICATIONS:


1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Three years experience in a position similar to that of buyer or business experience.

3. Must be attentive to detail and respect confidentiality of information relating to contracts, price lists and bids.

4. Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communications skills.

5. Basic computer skills with minimal guidance



PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:


Physical: Walking - up to 50% Standing - up to 50% Kneeling - up to 50%

Sitting - up to 50% Pushing - up to 25% Bending - up to 50%

Squatting - up to 25% Pulling - up to 25% Reaching - up to 50%

Lifting - up to 75lbs Wrist/Finger Movements - up to 90%


Mental: Stress Level: Moderate to High


EXPOSURE RISK: Category III – Jobs in which there is little to no risk of contact to blood and body fluids or tissues or to potential spills and splashes.


EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES USED: Computer, copier, telephone, facsimile machine, calculator, printer.
