Frost Brown Todd LLP, a national law firm with 1000+ legal and business professionals in sixteen offices, is currently searching for a full-time eDiscovery Project Manager to join our firm. The eDiscovery Project Manager will advise and guide case teams and clients through the scope of their case regarding e-discovery workflows. This position requires a working knowledge of the litigation process, the EDRM, and an understanding of the use of technology to support litigation efforts.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Using Relativity One and other e-discovery tools to load, process, analyze, search and produce electronic documents.
  • Assisting case teams and document review attorneys with onboarding, operating and troubleshooting e-discovery database platforms.
  • Planning workflow requirements and providing status updates for each project with the case team and client IT to manage expectations.
  • Maintaining effective communication with case teams and serving as a point of escalation when issues arise.
  • Tracking progress internally to ensure deadlines and cost expectations are appropriately met and addressed. Maintaining a data collection and preservation log per project.
  • Working with the FBT legal team and client IT to create a data map of potential source locations per custodian.
  • Analyzing and modifying ESI collection search terms and date filters to meet the correct syntax used per data system.
  • Communicating task requirements and providing concise instructions to eDiscovery Specialists and the Trial Support Technician.
  • Taking the lead on the completion and quality control of deliverables.
  • Keeping up-to-date on developments in and around the state of the eDiscovery industry.
  • Implementing technology and best practices across multiple offices to effectively support the litigation practice and ensure the Litigation Support Department remains in line with Firm policies and business goals.
  • Working with the Litigation Support Director and legal teams to ensure that legal teams are using appropriate, innovative and cost-effective technologies to manage the discovery process.
  • Conferring with legal teams to provide in-depth consulting on e-discovery issues.
  • Managing data transfer and storage, utilizing firm policies and best practices.
  • Participating in post-project analysis to discover workflow inefficiencies and obstacles. Working with the Litigation Support Director to apply quality control processes and improvements to the discovery process.
  • Working with the Litigation Support Director to schedule and organize training for Relativity, RelativityOne, Sightline, CaseMap, TimeMap, Trial Director and various other internal and external litigation software.
  • Creating multimedia presentations, graphics, flowcharts, diagrams and timelines for trial, mediation or client presentations.
  • Assisting with trial preparation, including video deposition synchronization, exhibit organization and courtroom set-up of presentation equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working in Legal Tech is required.
  • Large law firm or vendor experience preferred.
  • RCA (Relativity Certified Administrator) certification preferred.
  • ACEDS (Certified E-Discovery Specialist) certification preferred.
  • Experience with Technology-Assisted Review and Predictive Coding preferred.
  • Well-developed analysis methods and techniques for management of projects containing ESI (electronically stored information), including utilizing Relativity-Assisted Review.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills necessary to interact in an effective and professional manner with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, staff and outside vendors and consultants.
  • Ability to work as member of a team.
  • Experience with capturing web sites, on-line videos, video editing and general graphics is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook and Adobe.
  • Knowledge of Document Review Database structures and an understanding of how to ensure the integrity and defensibility of unstructured and structured data.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, organize and prioritize issues and workload, and a proven ability to manage time and resources in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work situations, grasp and apply new ideas, and be able to communicate with various personalities at all levels of management and staff in solving problems quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends.
