POSISTION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Assistant Director of Digital Marketing is a member of Capitol Technology University’s Marketing and Communications Department. The Assistant Director will work collaboratively with members of this department and other inter-university departments to further institutional goals specifically related to enrollment and recognition.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary duties include:

  • Managing university social media channels to create daily posts, respond to comments and messages, and expand the university’s audience among other duties
  • Managing university portals with current images and up to date information on programs.
  • Producing analytics for advertising marketing campaigns on LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and other developing media platforms;
  • Working closely in a small team to facilitate interdepartmental efficiencies (i.e. work with the admissions staff to figure out best practices, compile lists, strategize on how to send out successful campaigns, track data, etc.);
  • Providing consistent informed suggestions on how to improve targeted ad and social media campaigns;
  • Assisting the Director of Communications in the development of event campaigns
  • Respond to tickets sent to the webmaster email, ensuring timely and accurate website updates are made, providing quality customer service to internal clients;
  • Representing the university brand across all platforms and messaging; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 1-3 years experience managing and cross-platform social media campaigns;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Communications, Media, Marketing, or related field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with preferred familiarity in Adobe Suite programs such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Experience with traditional and new media marketing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Google Analytics/G4A
  • Experience with CRM, Salesforce Target X for creating and sending email campaigns

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

There are limited physical demands; however, this position requires sitting occasionally for extended periods of time, and repetitive motions for tasks such as operating a computer mouse and keyboard, and hearing and speaking on the telephone. The candidate must be able to pull, bend, grasp, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
