Location Description: Located at the base of Snow King Mountain, just a few blocks from downtown and 20 minutes from the Jackson Hole Airport, Snow King Resort Hotel boasts breathtaking views of the Teton Mountain Range and offers its guests a wide variety of activities and amenities. As Jacksons largest venue, Snow King Resort Hotel offers over 20,000 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor function space. Featuring 203 guest rooms and vacation luxury condo rentals. Overview: Essential Resposibilities Supervises the day-to-day operations of Engineering. Ensuring all tasks are complete or passed on to the next shift engineer. Verifying engineers have the help and supplies to complete tasks. Contributes to repairing and maintenance of the physical infrastructure, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems. Takes ownership of projects. Assume control of the Engineering Department conducting the daily stand up with the team, attend the manager meeting, assign tasks to team, continuous support and communication with team members throughout the day, support and work alongside team members as needed, 24 hour on call for maintenance questions or emergencies. Directs and assists workers in the maintenance and repairs of the property. Handle various administrative Daily tasks to include but not limited to: Hotsos (daily), Hotel Effectiveness (schedule complete by Wednesday before 10A.M.), and Workday (daily) Work with third-party vendors to obtain quotes and service agreements and coordinate work. Monitors timeliness and quality of completion of repair work orders in Hotsos and keeping up with the status of repairs. Ensure projects are completed on time and according to specifications by studying work schedules and estimating worker-hour requirements. Schedule engineering staff for routine maintenance, covering tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC functions. Responds to emergency situations during normal working hours or after hours as needed. Troubleshoot and repair various equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with minimal downtime and inconvenience to guests and staff. Ensure the recording and retention of equipment and utility meter readings weekly. Maintain files for Material Safety Data Sheets and train engineers in emergency procedures. Perform work within departmental expense plans. Identify health and safety hazards, conduct safety training, and ensure compliance with government safety and environmental regulations. Supervise contractor activities during and after repair and follow up with contractors for additional repairs when necessary. Provide building security, respond to emergencies, and assist in evacuations if needed. Assists in effectively planning, scheduling, completing, and evaluating preventive maintenance programs. Identifies and ensures external service needs like Plowing, maintaining of roads, Parking , and walkways, painting, repairs, renovations, and equipment replacements, seeks proposals, and submits to the Director of Engineering. Operate equipment and tools for snow removal to include but not limited to: snow plow, sanding truck, ice mitigation, snow shovel sidewalks and around cars, and ice cycle removal. Selects, submits for approval and orders purchases new equipment, parts, supplies, and other materials needed to maintain the Resort. Attracts, retains, motivates, trains, empowers, and builds a culture of teamwork and hospitality in the department. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Four years experience in a similar job in the hospitality industry. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, relating to their field of expertise. Ability to use hand tools, power tools. Ability to operate snow mitigation vehicles. Certified pool operator preferred. Vocational or technical training experience preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
