Position Summary : The role of the Supply Planning Manager is not just about managing a department, but about leading and optimizing it to drive cross-functional collaboration, capture key insights, and create integrated, stable, and agile supply and inventory plans. Key Responsibilities : Achieving performance metrics and effectively prioritizing and escalating planning challenges are key responsibilities of the Supply Planning Manager. This includes creating countermeasures to achieve KPI targets and conducting root cause analysis when necessary to identify systemic issues. As the face of the factory's supply planning function, you will interact with the business regarding service, strategy, and cost. It will be your responsibility to create and maintain Vendor/Site production requirements to ensure optimal inventory levels and on-time customer delivery. Driving plans to achieve department annual goals and KPIs is a critical aspect of the role, as is building strong relationships within the cross-functional business team. You will also need to escalate information about shortages or excesses of inventory levels to the Supply Leader and Plant Manager. Having a forward-looking view, you will understand future capacity and supply constraints that may affect production. In such cases, you will lead the development of recovery plans with a 1-6 month outlook. If necessary, you will identify and escalate the need to deviate from the frozen plan. Purchasing for the site will be under your ownership, and you will partner with Procurement to resolve any material delivery issues from vendors, ensuring that production plans are executed and aligned with demand. Feedback and identification of countermeasures for any Salvage date and CFR (Customer Fill Rate) issues, as well as inventory risk, will be part of your responsibilities. Effective communication within the network is crucial in this regard. You will participate in aligning the demand/supply plan to Operations and the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process. Additionally, you will lead the weekly business planning processes with the planning and operations teams. Managing your designated team will involve tasks such as hiring new talent, conducting performance reviews and conversations, creating development and succession plans, and providing regular feedback. Overseeing KPIs (key performance indicators) and SLAs (service level agreements) aligned with internal and external teams will ensure that targets are being met. Experience and Education Requirements : Undergraduate degree preferred or several years of manufacturing resource planning and material requirements planning experience in lieu of degree is required. Experience in managing master data maintenance processes is required. 5+ years of planning experience, which includes material requirements purchasing, planning, and scheduling in a process manufacturing environment. 7+ years of progressive supply chain experience, with expertise in ERP planning tools, preferably SAP. 2+ years of experience leading supply planning activities and managing a team of direct reports. Knowledge and proven expertise with ERP planning tools (SAP strongly preferred). Proficiency in PC programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including the use of complex formulas required. Experience coaching and developing direct reports, assessing their readiness for new roles, and identifying individual development plans. Experience managing the performance of direct reports, conducting regular check-ins and performance evaluations. Strong problem-solving abilities, statistical and analytical skills using quality tools, with the ability to draw business planning conclusions, are essential. Results-oriented and excellent time management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously is crucial.
