Prime Hospitality is a leading manufacturing of furnishings for the hospitality industry, focusing on supporting major hotel chains with custom crafted pieces designed to meet customer needs and expectations. We are seeking an experienced Buyer with an understanding of inventory management to join our team. Within this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring efficient supply chain operations as well as managing relationship with material providers and placing orders for materials based on current inventory and production schedules. This is a critical role that requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Job Duties:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives

- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their

capabilities

- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and ongoing communication

- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials

- Utilize category management principles to optimize purchasing processes

- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movement and maintain accurate

records, monitoring inventory levels and identify any discrepancies or issues

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast materials and inventory needs

- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement

- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products

- Participate in the development of financial models related to inventory management

- Assist in the sourcing and selection of suppliers/vendors

- Oversee order fulfillment process and ensure timely shipment of products

- Collaborate with distribution center teams to streamline inventory flow

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or equivalent

experience

- Proven experience in procurement, materials management, or supply chain management

- Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and quality management standards

- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers

- Proficient in contract negotiation and drafting agreements

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant

amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

- Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices

- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other inventory management

software

- Familiarity with financial modeling concepts related to inventory management

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
