An established community health hospital located in Southwestern Oklahoma is looking for an experienced RN Behavioral Health Director leader to join their team and lead their Behavioral Health Services Program. At this level III, Patient Safety Excellence Awarded, Trauma Hospital, the Nursing Director will lead this hospital’s front line efforts. Within this 20 bed inpatient unit, this facility offers comprehensive patient care in depression, psychosis, and other mental health conditions. Over the past five years, this Hospital has become one of Oklahoma's top mental health care facilities. 

The Behavioral Health Nurse Director will report to the Chief Nursing Officer. This will be a collaborative partnership with the CNO to expand objectives and strategies within the hospital. The Director will be supported by amazing Nursing Managers as well as an experienced tight knit staff of RN’s, therapists and other healthcare staff. This individual will work alongside physicians and nursing leaders to examine standards and spearhead policy changes to ensure optimal care. 

The Nursing Director will oversee day to day operations of this department including staff development, onboarding, budgets, inventory and department goal setting. This is a close knit team with strong ethics of trust and cooperation. Although this is a fast paced department, the staff stay committed to a passionate, safe, productive and engaged environment. Collaboration can be expected with Case Management, Clinical Specialty Leaders and Community Partners. 

The Behavioral Health Nursing Director will be responsible for the implementation of policies to maintain quality patient care in all aspects. This individual will also be in charge of managing safety initiatives and strong team building skills to work across sectors and unify staff. The Director will lead the departmental budgeting process, including development, monitoring operating expenses, and allocating resources for labor and quality improvement initiatives. 

A candidate with strong Behavioral Health Services Management experience in complex, integrated health environments, and an active Oklahoma Nursing license will surely earn a quick interview.
