Job Summary:

\n

This person will perform complex, non-repetitive, managerial duties which will monitor department performance daily. Direct s Maintenance Superintendents, Supervisors, and Lead associates to ensure that all maintenance recording mechanisms, including paper and digital formats, are distributed, and accurately completed in a timely manner. Maintains a safe work environment and monitors all necessary safety procedures. Generally, requires 6 or more years of work experience with 4 years in the Mechanical or Electrical Industry with a four-year degree.  Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Bilingual, Spanish preferred but not required.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

\n

·         Responsible for the performance and productivity of the Maintenance Superintendents, Supervisors, and Leads in their assigned areas.

\n

·         Be responsible for assigned areas of asset 24-7.

\n

·         Establish goals for their Superintendents and Supervisors that contribute to reaching overall Maintenance and enterprise goals.

\n

·         Design and manage turnover documents to ensure daily events are well communicated to the next shift at all levels of management.

\n

·         Assist on any shift where help is needed to make sure their asset areas are maintained properly.

\n

·         Coach Superintendents and Supervisors regarding team building, communication, labor utilization, asset management, and budgeting responsibilities.

\n

·         Actively involved in MOS.

\n

·         Interpret company policies to Superintendents and Supervisors and enforce all safety regulations.

\n

·         Suggest changes in materials, processes, and equipment to increase the efficiency of the shop, department, and individual maintenance crews.

\n

·         Develop initiatives to motivate associates to achieve company goals.

\n

·         Analyze information to help resolve issues regarding production and facilities equipment and construction projects.

\n

·         Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to associates and outside contractors. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet project and production schedules.

\n

·         Recommend strategies to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, and cost reductions. 

\n

·         Confer with Manager and Superintendents to coordinate activities of individual departments relative to maintenance and construction projects.

\n

·         Conduct regular audits of SAP-CMMS entries to ensure accuracy of data submitted.

\n

·         Responsible for the accuracy of the CMMS-SAP system for information integrity. 

\n

·         Ensure that PM’s in their asset areas are accurate and updated.  Regular PMO activities are expected.

\n

·         Inspect, plan, and evaluate utilization of space and facilities.

\n

·         Plan, budget and schedule facility modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts and contracts for construction.

\n

Additional Responsibilities:

\n

·         Maintain sound personnel policies and practices.  Periodic review and updates are expected.

\n

·         Collaborates productively with fellow Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors and effectively engages with associates from support areas such as Engineering, Materials, Production, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, etc.

\n

·         Maintains and updates the technical and managerial skills required to effectively create the vision and communicate the mission for the Maintenance Department.

\n

·         Support Engineering Department in execution of capital projects as required. 

\n

·         Performs other duties as assigned. 

\n

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

\n

·         Background in Mechanical and Electrical Industry. 

\n

 

\n

Education & Experience:

\n

·         Generally, requires 6 or more years of work experience with 4 years in the Mechanical or Electrical Industry and preferred four-year degree from an accredited College/University.
