The Opportunity

Ulteig is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to aid in: provide pre and post-award procurement support for projects, prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed, assist in growth and development of a procurement team, and provide training on the procurement function and processes across the organization. The position must be located in the United States.

What You'll Do

  • Improve supplier and subcontractor bench strength and develop a competitive procurement process with long-term strategic partners
  • Serve as a team member for continuous improvement projects, initiatives, or events related to procurement
  • Perform supplier evaluations and expenditure analysis to determine focus areas for supplier improvements
  • Assist the project teams by analyzing client contracts for critical milestone and flow down requirements
  • Collaborate with the technical teams to document the scope, schedule, price, flow down requirements, and other key project provisions to initiate contractor work or to procure project equipment
  • Create standard operating procedures for procurement activities as needed
  • Initiate process improvement activities for procurement with input and support from key stakeholders
  • Prepare training materials and provide training to key stakeholders across the company
  • Provide communication plans on newly developed processes and procedures
  • Assist in growth and development of procurement team
  • Negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers
  • Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements
  • Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers

What We Expect from You

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • A minimum 10 years of experience in development, negotiation, and administering contracts, including negotiations for price, schedule, delivery, and terms and conditions
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing and procurement
  • Experience in SOP preparation, implementation, training, and continuous improvement
  • Experience with risk evaluation and mitigation for price, schedule and quality
  • Strong understanding of procurement and supplier diversity techniques
  • Prefer knowledge of energy sector, including power delivery and renewable construction and associated field concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Prefer engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting experience as a consulting services organization
  • Prefer project management experience
  • Time management, planning, and organizing
  • Communication, relationship building, collaboration, and teamwork
  • Problem solving and decision-making even with limited information and timeframes
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Information analysis, compilation, and synthesis
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

Additional Opportunity Details:
Compensation Range is Generally +/- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $103,000
