Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team for the 2023/2024 school year in Adrian, MI. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and support their social, emotional, and academic development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and munity professionals to develop and implement interventions and support plans for students.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Support students with disabilities by participating in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors.
- Assist in crisis intervention and response as needed.
- Provide consultation and professional development to school staff on topics related to mental health, behavior management, and social-emotional learning.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and services provided.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in Michigan.
- Experience working as a School Psychologist preferred, but new graduates are wele to apply.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
