Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team for the 2023/2024 school year in Adrian, MI. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and support their social, emotional, and academic development.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services.
  2. Collaborate with school staff, parents, and munity professionals to develop and implement interventions and support plans for students.
  3. Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  4. Support students with disabilities by participating in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
  5. Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans for students with challenging behaviors.
  6. Assist in crisis intervention and response as needed.
  7. Provide consultation and professional development to school staff on topics related to mental health, behavior management, and social-emotional learning.
  8. Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure in Michigan.
  • Experience working as a School Psychologist preferred, but new graduates are wele to apply.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
