This WELL WATER TESTER Position Features:

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Provide basic customer support activities related to the service, installation, modification, and repair of water distribution equipment and systems.
- Locate main and service lines; install, repair, and replace mains, water meters, and hydrants.
- Test equipment and document working condition.
- Notify customers of scheduled and emergency outages.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of distribution systems within assigned territory.
- Operate various equipment including trash pumps, submersible pumps, booster pumps, chemical injection pumps, and chemical transfer pumps, following proper operational and repair procedures.
- Conduct meter reads and field investigations.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures for service, installation, and equipment repair to ensure proper functioning, including preventive maintenance.
- Safely operate company vehicle as per safety guidelines.
- Interact positively with customers, representing the Company professionally.
- Perform service meter lockouts and reconnect service as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance activities such as system flushing, valve exercising, storage tank cleaning, disinfection, and fire hydrant maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness around well sites, booster stations, and storage tanks.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic PC skills.
- Valid California driver's license.
- Minimum Grade 1 Treatment and/or Distribution license issued by the State of California Department of Public Health; consideration given to applicants awaiting their scheduled state examination.
