Job Title: School-Based Occupational Therapist

Location: De Soto, Missouri

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our school-based team in De Soto, Missouri, about an hour south of St. Louis. Our organization is dedicated to providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children in the school setting. As a school-basedOT, your primary responsibility is to support students in their development of the skills needed to participate fully in school activities. This position is for the remainder of the current school year.

  • Full-time, remainder of school year
  • Starting ASAP
  • Hours guaranteed
  • Elementary caseload, one school site


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to identify fine motor, sensory processing, and visual perceptual disorders in children.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address occupational therapy issues.
  • Provide therapy services to children in individual or group settings in the school setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and treatment plans.
  • Communicate with families and caregivers to provide education and support.
  • Attend regular meetings with school staff and continuing education opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Missouri State Licensure in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience working in a school-based setting is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
