Location: Dexter, Maine
Position Type: Full-Time (35-40 hours per week)
Term: 2023-2024 School Year
Job Description:Soliant has partnered with a local school district whois currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join their team for the 2023-2024 school year. This full-time position involves working with students to assess, diagnose, and provide speech and language therapy services to support their communication needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to evaluate students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary school students, both individually and in small groups.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create and implement strategies to support students' communication and learning.
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with district policies and state regulations.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives.
- Stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology and apply evidence-based techniques to support student progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid Maine state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- ASHA (American Speech-Language- Hearing Association) certification is preferred.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged students is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations in the field of speech-language pathology within the educational context.
