Position: Virtual School Psychologist (1099 Contractor)

Location: Remote (Must be licensed in Virginia)

Contract Length: 24/25 School Year

The Role:

As a Virtual School Psychologist with VocoVision, you'll be an integral part of a team dedicated to removing barriers to education through virtual engagement. You'll provide direct support to students, applying your expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and consultation through a secure, interactive online platform. This role not only allows you to work from the comfort of your own home but also offers the flexibility to manage your schedule effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments remotely to determine students' cognitive, emotional, and social functioning.
  • Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and intervention plans in collaboration with educators and families.
  • Provide counseling and support to students, addressing issues such as learning difficulties, social adjustment, and mental health concerns.
  • Offer consultation services to school staff and parents to enhance the educational and emotional well-being of students.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Valid VirginiaSchool Psychologist license.
  • Experience in psychological assessment, counseling, and intervention with children and/or adolescents.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and educators in a virtual setting.
  • Technical proficiency to utilize and navigate various online platforms and tools.
  • A commitment to ethical practice, inclusivity, and ongoing professional development.
