The Finance Digital Products organization at Edward Jones is focused on enhancing business functions while interfacing with technology partners to create an unparalleled experience. Leveraging these critical insights, we implement technology solutions and develop our products in ways that enable our firm capabilities. As key members of the team, Digital Product Owners combine deep subject matter expertise, vision, strategy, systems thinking, and product management capabilities to produce highly integrated and effective digital solutions and tools.


What You'll Do…
  • The Product Owner serves as the individual accountable for one or more systems, leading a multi-disciplinary and cross-divisional product team to deliver value to internal and external customers of the Firm.
  • The role is accountable for the respective product's branch compensation experience which necessitates a systems thinking approach.
  • This individual aligns strategy to execution through the development and maintenance of their product roadmap, outlining the body of work expected now, next, and into the future.
  • This work includes the management of system plans and supporting artifacts encompassing resource needs, stakeholder solution requirements, dependencies, timelines, milestones, and success criteria as necessary to deliver on the promised business value.
  • Success in this role requires depth and breadth of subject matter experts inside and outside the Branch Compensation product area, as well as a foundational understanding of Product Management and Agile, and the ability to expand these capabilities within the organization.
  • Collaborate with leaders to attract, develop, and drive a team of high-performing associates, and will play a pivotal role in their ongoing personal and professional development.
  • Drive the matrixed product team through influence as well as task assignment authority, mentoring, and coaching all team members to fulfill the product vision.
  • Advise and align with adjacent product teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive progression of the product strategy.
What Experience You Need…
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in the Agile framework or 4+ years of experience in Product Ownership/Management
  • Strong knowledge of financial services concepts, practices, and procedures, with emphasis on the Product
  • Robust knowledge of full-cycle software development within an Agile framework.

  • Experience using Jira, Aha! and other collaboration tools
  • Strong understanding of compensation philosophy and practices
  • Understanding of other HR functional areas
