About this job

  • JOB SUMMARY
    • The Director of Quality Management provides oversight for the organizations Accreditation/Certification, Infection Control, Safety, Risk Management, and Performance Improvement programs and is responsible for compliance with Joint Commission and CMS Standards. This position also works closely with Nursing Compliance, as well as serving in a support role for the Medical Staff and Hospital Leadership. This position serves as the authority and internal resource for regulatory issues and oversees external and internal data collection, analysis and reporting.
    •  
    • The Director will interact with all hospital departments in addition to leading and/or serving on various committees. Key functions include survey readiness, management, education, training and performance improvement. The right candidate must be self-directed with a high degree of integrity, discernment, and commitment to quality. This position reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer.
  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS
    • Education and/or experience: Bachelors degree required, Master's degree in a related field (MBA, Nursing, etc.) preferred. Ideally the candidate will have a Registered Nurse license. A miniumum of three (3) years in a quality management position is a healthcare system or hospital setting is required, as well as experience in supervising and managing staff.

    • Knowledge: In depth knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS Standards with proven leadership ability.

    • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication, good analytical skills, computer skills, interpersonal skills
