The Tampa VA Medical Center is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist with fellowship-training in Thoracic Imaging/Body Imaging

The Tampa VA facility is a Level1A facility for the VA, with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment throughout all departments. Academic affiliation with USF Morsani Health College of Medicine.

The successful candidate will bring a track record of clinical excellence in Abdominopelvic and/or Thoracic Radiology experience to complement our existing staff and grow the breadth and depth of our practice for Veterans in the greater Tampa region. Included in our practice is the full gamut of thoracic, abdominopelvic and abdominopelvic CT and MR. The successful candidate will help establish procedures and protocols for ordering, image acquisition, quality and safety. They should be comfortable with the spectrum to general radiology work to include general radiology interpretation of plain film, as well as coverage of barium examinations and simple procedures (NG tube placement, dobbhoff placement, fistulograms, cystograms).  The candidate will work with the residency program at USF, and contribute to the teaching and research missions of the agency.  The successfully candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with the facility AI (Artificial Intelligence) center of excellence.  A strong culture of collaboration, innovation, AI, and teaching exists within the department.  Opportunity for career promotion and development exist.  The service has also developed an interest in 3D printing, VR, and AR initiatives.

Our staff is nearly 100% fellowship trained with subspecialty practice in Neuroradiology, Breast Imaging, Abdominopelvic Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging, Interventional Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.

Radiologists across all subspecialties are expected to participate in General Radiology (consisting of radiography, ultrasound and fluoroscopy); take part in after-hours call based from home; and participate in educational activities including intradepartmental and multidisciplinary conferences.
