Software Dev Engineer IV - Seattle, WA

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is seeking a Software Development Engineer for an 8-month Contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion. This position will work on a hybrid schedule in Seattle, WA. Looking for a Software Development Engineer who will act as first-level support and development for all incoming production software application issues dealing with merchandising applications. Job Responsibilities: Developing monitoring solutions, troubleshooting/debugging and implementing the fix for internally developed code (Perl, C/C++, JAVA) Performing SQL queries Improving our systems that gather metrics on our features, updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges. Working alongside development on Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes, and documentation of our systems. Job Qualifications: Computer Science or equivalent technical degree 5+ years of relevant experience is required Superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, are able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure. Software Design experience Python or Java experience SQL experience UNIX/LINUX JDBC Designing backend infrastructure experience Only candidates available and ready to work directly as New Journey/Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
