Senior F5 Engineer (Load Balancing)

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr. F5 Engineer with our client in the Financial Services Industry located in Fort Worth, TX. This is a for this full-time, permanent job opportunity. Description: The Sr. F5 Engineer, will focus primarily on day to day support activities of all F5 BIG-IP and Citrix Netscaler environments, management of all devices, developing solutions and the mastery of multiple modules on the BIG-IP platforms. Furthermore, the engineer will be responsible for all load balancer support for cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, IBM, Google, etc.). Responsibilities: Build and support load balancing related infrastructure systems, with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of F5 LTM/GTM and some knowledge of Citrix Netscaler and GSLB Perform daily operational tasks included in-depth troubleshooting of issues Maintain and administer load balancing standards, documentation, processes and procedures Work closely with other team members to integrate load balancing devices into the overall network design Interface with IT Architect, LAN/WAN, and Cybersecurity teams to activate load balancer related services both locally and abroad; and assist with problem resolution as required Responsible for updating technical documentation associated with each implementation Willingness to be a part of a growing and diverse team, in an area of new and rapidly expanding technological innovation Willingness to expand and branch out knowledge in additional F5 modules such as Access Policy Manager (APM), Application Security Manager (ASM) Willingness to expand knowledge to support Citrix Netscaler, AppViewX Client+ platform, API/Python and related load balancers Willingness to perform certain job duties after hours and on weekends as needed; participate in 24x7 on call rotation Requirements: 5+ years of working with Big-IP F5's preferred High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience with DevOps in application service automation, REST API and general API consumption is plus Experience with continuous integration and delivery practices and automation tools such as ansible, puppet, Chef, AppViewX is a plus Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Unix Shell, TMSH, Powershell, Python is a plus Experience with other load balancer from cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS, Google Advanced knowledge of F5 LTM/GTM Knowledge of Citrix Netscaler and GSLB Knowledge of technical documentation Ability to think strategically and make collaborative decisions Ability to apply structured analysis methods to various types of data to establish trends, determine variability and business impact Communicates quickly, clearly, concisely, appropriately and intelligently Foster open communication, speaks with impact, listens to others and writes effectively Ability to effectively negotiate with vendors on upgrades and acquisitions Effective planning, multi-tasking, time management, negotiation and delegation skills Ability to approach problems with an open-mind and create new and innovative ideas and methods Strong analytical skills Creative, Innovative, problem-solving and maximizing your potential to solve problems and improve methods Think positively when faced with obstacles, build on others ideas, think logically and intuitively Strong people skills including the ability to interact with employees at all levels Compensation: Salary range from $130K to $140K If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
