Summary

The Manager of Sales Compensation will play a vital role managing the administration of Workiva's global sales compensation programs. This person will collaborate with sales and sales operations leadership, HR, finance, accounting and IT to develop and oversee sales compensation admin processes across our organization, and will play an integral role in the administration of Xactly Incent, while managing a team of sales compensation analysts that support over 600 sales incentive eligible employees globally.

What You'll Do

  • Support Workiva's sales compensation programs and global administration

  • Manage the performance and professional development of a team of full-time sales compensation analysts

  • Perform hands on maintenance and continuous improvement of our Xactly Sales Incentive Compensation Management solution

  • Own the HR/people set up process for all incentive compensation eligible employees

  • Ensure proper SOX audit controls and documentation are in place for sales commission processes and calculations

  • Conduct analysis of data from multiple sources to build various compensation models, and partner with the Sr. Director of Sales Planning and Performance to develop recommendations for improving sales compensation processes

  • Participate in the semi-annual quota planning, design, and issuance of compensation plans for 600+ sales incentive eligible employees

  • Develop and present updates and recommendations related to sales compensation and planning to the senior leadership team

  • Handle queries/issues from sales leaders and escalate them as appropriate

  • Provide world class customer service to our sales employees, educating them on our plans and process to ensure continued understanding and transparency

  • Work autonomously and continuously improve existing processes

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years related experience in sales compensation analysis and administration, or Master's with 3 years related experience, or PhD with 2 years related experience

  • Minimum 2 years of direct people management experience

  • Experience leveraging Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) or Sales Performance Management (SPM) tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting an organizations of 200+ sales incentive eligible employees

  • Experience with Xactly Incent as a hands-on administrator. Understanding of Xactly Connect also preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and outstanding attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively and approach tasks with sense of urgency

  • Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative in a quickly growing and global environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment, including an ability to multi-task and juggle multiple tasks both big and small

  • Ability to be solution-oriented and help solve problems, make complex / manual processes more effective and automated and deliver creative solution to issues

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, Salesforce, and Workday reporting

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office.

  • Up to 10% travel

How You'll Be Rewarded

Salary range in the US: $101,000.00 - $172,000.00

A discretionary bonus typically paid annually

Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire

401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
