Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time WORKS Program Coordinator Position.

If you have a background working with volunteers and like to problem solve, this could be the position you've been looking for. The successful candidate will be able to communicate, solve problems, adapt to changing situations, think critically, and work as a team.
This position requires continual direction and oversight of WORK program operations.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assigning individuals with court ordered community service to shifts at PRCS facilities and referrals non-profits in the community.
• Working with different agencies including Loudoun County Court Services, Loudoun County Traffic Court, Juvenile Detention Center (JDC), and Community Corrections.
• Maintaining the program database and analyzing program data.
• Coordinating contracts for landscape maintenance; oversees work of contractors; purchases materials and supplies; and performs some landscape maintenance tasks in our Community Garden.
• Providing program information to participants, parents, site personnel and supervisors.
• May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in a field related to the assigned program or department; two (2) years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Parks and Recreation or related field.
• Knowledge of the Court system with six months experience.
• Experience working with teens for one year.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

• Criminal background check and DMV check required. For DMV check, valid driver's license and good driving record required (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification).
• Fingerprinting, TB test within 30 days of hire; pass Child Protective Services (CPS) check; hold or obtain First Aid/CPR certifications at hire or within four (4) months.
• Ability to lift fifty pounds.
• Complete County required Supervisory Courses to include E-learning.
