Forklift Driver/Shipping&Receiving | 2nd shift
Ready to take the wheel and drive our operations forward? As a Forklift Driver, you will be the driving force behind the seamless movement of materials and parts throughout our plant. If you're a skilled operator with a passion for precision, join the team!
Job Duties:
- Operating a forklift to transport materials and parts between departments with speed and precision.
- Loading and unloading trucks and handling large rolls of raw steel like a pro.
- Maneuvering a stand-up forklift to shuttle dies between the toolroom, machines, and storage.
- Running secondary operations as needed, including tumbling, deburring, rust-checking, and oiling parts.
- Packing and loading parts into containers for delivery, ensuring order specifications and quality standards are met.
- Checking shipment accuracy, cross-referencing receipts, and purchase orders.
- Maintaining meticulous inventory records and handling paperwork with vendors and customers.
- Preparing outgoing and incoming shipments, organizing inventory, staging orders, creating, printing, and sorting bills of lading, working with Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, etc.,
Schedule: 2nd shift | Monday thru Friday 3:00Pm – 1:00AM Saturday 10:00AM – 3:00Pm Training provided on 1st shift for 3-12 months, from 5:00AM – 3:00 PM (Monday – Friday) & 5 AM – 10 AM on Saturdays; transitioning to 2nd shift
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 with potential to earn additional piece rate incentives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of previous forklift operation experience, with preference given to those experienced with stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
- Prior experience operating forklifts in a machine shop environment.
- Prior experience in shipping and receiving department.
- Physical stamina to thrive in a challenging environment, including lifting up to 65lb parts continuously and performing various physical tasks.
