Interior Design Store Clerk - Full-time

Express Employment Professionals is assisting a local area store looking for a customer service sales associate.

Our client is a well-respected retailer in West Hartford helping families and businesses with quality interior decor products. This position is customer-facing and someone with a genuine interest in interior design would be ideal. 

Bring your willingness to communicate and assist customers as they maneuver the selection process of improving their environment. 

Pay is $17 an hour to start and this is an evaluation hire position with a 90-day timeframe to give you a chance to decide if this career is for you.  

Hours are 10-5:30 Monday to Saturday. Closed Sundays. Paid lunch breaks. This is a full-time position. You also get one weekday off.

Responsibilities:

• Work on your feet most of your shift. 
• Assist customers in selecting products for their environment greeting them warmly and identifying their needs
• Guide people through the purchase process
• Assist with inventory and display changes as well as some product delivery.

Requirements:

• Excellent retail customer service and communications skills
• Experience or education in interior design
• Ability to work in a small friendly team environment
• Basic math and measurement skills and ability to use POS systems
