Warehouse Night Shift Picker

Location:                          2010 S. Briggs St. Joliet, IL 60433

Requirements:              Start time 5:00PM – until all tasks are                                                        completed (Monday – Thursday)

                                       Start time 4:00PM – until all tasks are                                                      completed (Friday)

                                       *Overtime may be required as needed

About us:                          Founded in 1934, Kozol Bros. Inc. is a family-owned business consisting of over 100 employees. We distribute domestic, craft, and import beers and ciders in addition to a growing portfolio of beverages in the Chicago suburbs. We operate out of a professional facility over 180,000 sq. ft. in size and service Will, Kankakee, and parts of Cook, Iroquois, and Grundy counties. 

About the role:               The warehouse picker has a critical role in the successful operations of the business. They work as part of a team to pick products effectively and accurately from bins and safely load products on delivery trucks. They keep aisles clear and free of debris to make it easy to access bins and pallets. The warehouse picker is expected to repetitively lift, carry, push/pull, pinch/grip, reach overhead, and reach away from body. 

Responsibilities:          

• Safely operate a forklift in a busy environment
• Quickly and precisely hand-pick and stack cases of beer onto pallets
• Conduct QA checks on weighted scales
• Stage and load delivery trucks
• Perform other tasks assigned by management, including but not limited to collecting garbage, dropping pallets, cleaning the warehouse, shrink wrapping products, and replenishing pick bins

Qualifications:                               

• 1+ years proven experience driving a forklift
• Capable of operating an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc. without restrictions
• Willing and able to spend 8+ hours performing a physically demanding job
• Must have a clean driving record and possess a valid driver’s license
• Reliable, alert, and detail-oriented
• Self-motivated with competence to positively contribute to group efforts
• Toleration for busy environments with ability to remain professional and composed

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years or older

Preferred qualifications:

• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Valid driver's license
• Warehouse skills: handheld scanner operation
• Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Available to work: overnight
• Available to work: late at night
• Available to work: overtime
• 0-1 year of total work experience
