Job Overview:
At Work Personnel Decatur is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual for an Accounts Payable Clerk with one of our premiere accounts in Decatur, AL. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing all accounts payable transactions for our company. This is a vital role in ensuring accurate financial records and timely payments to vendors. This is an onsite position.
Duties:
-Maintain the highest level of safety at all time, follow safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all time
- Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Provide support for internal and external audits as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any payment or invoice issues
-Cross train with others on the Accounting team
-Preform other clerical or administrative functions related to AR, AP, Accounting, and HR.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related field
-Pay range is an approximation, will depend on what experience you bring to the table
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in payroll management systems such as Paychex, Workday, PeopleSoft, UltiPro, or Sage
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in 10-key typing and data entry skills
- Familiarity with corporate accounting processes and procedures
