Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for either a Level 3 or Level 4 Production Equipment Technician/Mechanic to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! This position will be located on site in El Segundo, CA.

Essential Functions:
  • Performs installation, maintenance and repairs on-line manufacturing equipment
  • Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions
  • Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs
  • Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment
  • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment
  • May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required
  • Ability to work any shift


This position may be filled as either a level 3 Production Equipment Technician/Mechanic or a level 4 Production Equipment Technician/Mechanic.

Basic Qualifications for a level 3:
  • High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of additional education or related maintenance technician experience
  • Electrical experience
  • Ability to learn CNC machinery equipment


Basic Qualifications for a level 4:
  • High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of additional education or related maintenance technician experience
  • Electrical experience
  • Ability to learn CNC machinery equipment


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Maximo experience
  • Electrical certification
  • Machine Geometry, CNC Machine Repair and related industrial equipment, and/or Advanced Mechanical Knowledge of Production Machinery Production machine equipment
  • 10 years of maintenance technician experience

Salary Range: $62,900.00 - $104,900.00Salary Range 2: $74,900.00 - $124,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
