What you will do
Certify to perform difficult hand welding operations on a wide range of metals, ferrous and non-ferrous, for package units and other complex assemblies involving welding to high strength and pressure requirements according to ASME code. Will train on 1st shift and move to 2nd shift after training is completed. Starting rate is $29.22/hour plus an additional $1.50/hour shift premium when moved to 2nd shift.

What you will do
Certify to perform difficult hand welding operations on a wide range of metals, ferrous and non-ferrous, for package units and other complex assemblies involving welding to high strength and pressure requirements according to ASME code. Will train on 1st shift and move to 2nd shift after training is completed. Starting rate is $29.22/hour plus an additional $1.50/hour shift premium when moved to 2nd shift.
How you will do it
- Operate all types of hand or semi-automatic electric machines and oxy-acetylene for welding.
- Regulate current, voltage and select proper tips, rods and sizes for various types of welding according to individual job requirements.
- Able to weld dissimilar metals, layout, cut and fit parts to meet drawing tolerances.
- Manipulate electrode in proper sequence and use care to lay smooth and even bead of required width. (Avoid undercutting of metal).
- Use hand or power tools to clean beads after welding.
- Work from detailed drawings and schematic, must understand valves and fittings and controls to be used for different refrigerants.
- Layout and fit work to meet drawing tolerance.
- Maintain clean, safe work area and equipment according to 5S standards

Required Qualification:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must have prior welding experience and be able to pass onsite Weld Test.
