Position Summary

Perform operations required to set up, maintain and operate computer numerical controlled machine tools, including turning and milling centers (vertical and horizontal).

Responsibilities
  • Perform operations required to set up, maintain and operate computer numerical controlled machine tools, including turning and milling centers (vertical and horizontal).
  • Must run simple to complicated runs to exacting tolerances and specifications. These tasks require blueprint reading, the use of micrometers, gauges and applicable tooling.
  • Sometimes run multiple task or machines simultaneously.
  • Must often edit or change programs to enhance the quality of the product.
  • Orders raw materials from stock and appropriate tooling per project.
  • Will instruct less qualified operators in set up and operation.
  • Precision and close tolerances is a must.
  • Has minimum supervision and direction, must be able to instruct or assist where necessary.
  • Maintain the highest degree of quality, quantity, safety, cost reduction and customer continuously.
  • Performs these duties and others as requested.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Requires a broad machine tool knowledge necessary to support special tools and machine orders
