Job Summary and Qualifications

• Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care. As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees
• Champion HCA FL Putnam Hospital’s mission, vision and values; comply with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company
• Accurately cleans entire OR Department and the Operating Rooms in a timely manner with the appropriate cleaning and disinfection modalities based on the patient’s disease state.
• Orders supplies, performs inventory functions, equipment, instrument care and maintenance
• Reports supply and equipment needs to the manager and distributes items to appropriate area (Linens, Fluids, and patient care items).
• Collect soiled equipment and cleans all equipment according to standard procedures and checks for proper operation.
• Maintains a very clean work area that supports the Operating Room’s Environment of Care.
• Assists in the orientation of new personnel to the unit as instructed by the manager
• Transport of human tissues, specimens, and cultures to other departments within the hospital or to PDIC Radiology Department.
• Assists the nursing personnel with the transfer of patients from the stretchers/hospital bed to the OR bed, from the OR bed back to a stretcher/hospital bed, and can assist OR Staff by holding patient’s extremities during the skin preparation before a surgical procedure commences. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
