Director of Environmental Services

Pride Health is seeking a Director of Environmental Services to support our client’s medical facility based in Massachusetts.

• Salary Range Hourly: $48.50
• Length of Assignment – Permanent
• Shift and Schedule – Mon -Fri - 8 am – 5 pm

Job Summary

The Director of Environmental Services under the direction of the Director of Environmental Services oversees the day-to-day operations of assigned areas within the Environmental Services Department.

Job Duties

• He/she assists with the development of departmental plans, policies, and procedures.
• Works within annual operating and capital budgets.
• Ensures the quality of daily operations meets the established standards for cleanliness, appearance, and safety as outlined by BHS and regulatory agencies.
• The primary function of the Director of Environmental Services is to manage the day-to-day activities & processes of the Environmental Services Departments at multiple sites within Berkshire Health Systems. He/she must maintain compliance with the organizational standards for cleaning and requests for service.
• Specifically, he/she must run the day-to-day operation of the departments, and coordinate communication with customers and departments and within the EVS leadership team.

Mandated Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in Healthcare Environmental Services Management strongly preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in either:  Supervisory responsibilities in a healthcare setting or Team Leader or both required.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) required.
• Valid Driver License required.
• Hospital Hazmat and Decontamination - Operations Level preferred
• Member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) preferred.
