Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview: We are excited about the growth in the oil and gas industry and we are currently looking for a Mechanic for our Cotulla Yard. This position serves as a critical mission of our success. This role requires some previous work experience and serves as an opportunity that is willing to put forth the effort and physical ability to complete all duties required. This position needs someone willing to be dependable and interested in working to the best of your ability.

Previous experience working in the oil and gas field is not required.

Reports to: Field Supervisor

Job Description

• Servicing and repair of 20 Semi Trucks, Trailers and Surface Rental Equipment - including but not limited to forklifts, light towers, man lifts, generators, etc.
• The Majority of the time will be spent working in the Cotulla shop, with occasional travel to sites.

Job Requirements

• Experience with basic tools preferred
• Some on-call weekends
• Must have valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Prior knowledge of Diesel engine or components repair
• Prior knowledge of hydraulic equipment, hydrastatic testers and electricity
• Experience operating winch related equipment and safe operations 

Physical Requirements

• Able to occasionally lift 50 lbs off the floor to a shelf height, stand and walk around for extended periods.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check and Motor Vehicle Record requirement standards

Typical working conditions and hazards:

• Work is performed in all weather conditions

• Able to perform duties with protective equipment, H2S respirator where required

• Potential hazards include working near or with heavy tools and moving equipment

• Potential exposure to loud noises, airborne toxins, solvents, flammable atmospheres and industrial chemicals

• Operating company assets on state, county, or local roadways
