This includes ASI's market-leading command and control software product, Mobius. Job Summary

As a Development Manager at ASI, you will evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues along with working with your team and other departments to establish a design, technology, product development, and vendor strategy. The Development Lead is also in charge of modifying existing software that may contain errors or that needs an upgrade. You will analyze, store, and retrieve information that can enable them to create the best software available.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of software engineers and testers to add functionality, and improve and upgrade ASI's autonomous vehicle command and control software
  • Create detailed, forward-looking technical roadmaps and architectural designs
  • Drive delivery of new technology solutions to ASI Mining customers all over the world
  • Work with Product Managers to ensure the end product meets customer expectations
  • Mentor and train other developers on coding practices and standards
  • Maintain a process-oriented culture leading the team in developing software products using agile methodologies

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of management experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Professional experience programming in C# or similar languages
  • Professional experience developing highly scalable API's and 3rd party system integrations
  • Professional experience working with version control tools like Git, Mercurial
  • Professional experience working with code repositories like Bitbucket, GitHub
  • Professional experience working with continuous integration build servers like TeamCity, Jenkins
  • Network programming including TCP and UDP protocols
  • User interface development (WPF)
  • Full Stack development, including UI, client/server communication, and server-side business logic
  • Professional experience with MS Visual Studio
  • Professional experience with concurrent, multi-threaded, and asynchronous programming
  • Must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with application scaling techniques: horizontal, vertical, and algorithmic
  • Understanding of geometry, trigonometry, matrix transforms, and general linear algebra
  • Experience with database design and integration including relational and time series databases.
  • Experience with Agile software development


This position will be interacting with heavy equipment, so it is mandatory that all employees take a breathalizer test each time they're onsite at the mine.
