WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Cello – Production Supervisor will oversee and coordinate daily activities of assigned workforce including production, processing, packaging, and safety. Responsible for assigning and directing workflow all while monitoring equipment, productivity, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

  • Directly responsible for the development and training of production employees, working within the guidelines of Company policies.
  • Reviews production, maintenance, and shipping timetables, and other related information and confers with department supervisors to coordinate daily work activities.
  • Monitors productivity and work performance and intervenes with employees as necessary.
  • At start-up, gives instructions on production for the shift to the trainer, including which bags to run on the various lines.
  • Monitors break, and lunch schedules for assigned work force.
  • Monitors payroll data through Kronos timekeeping.
  • Maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, preventative maintenance logs, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.
  • May make scale assignment.
  • Assists shift manger with end-of-shift reports.
  • Conducts safety meetings.
  • Completes work injury reports.
  • Reports safety hazards and prepares work orders for their correction.
  • Monitors materials, and resources required to complete assignments.
  • Makes sure there are enough bags, cartons, and personnel to complete the work orders.
  • Monitors and controls movement of material on automated conveyor system.
  • Arranges for repair and assembly of materials or parts.
  • Each employee will be responsible for maintaining their work area, common facilities (break areas, restrooms, etc.) and any personal storage areas that are assigned in a clean and organized manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent, from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid California Driver License and clean driving record.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills .
  • Ability to interact with a diverse employee population and with internal/external customers in an effective, professional manner.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Pro-active mindset with the ability to apply common sense and good judgment under minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Environment exposure – cold/wet conditions (40 °ree; or below).
  • Material exposure – moving mechanical parts.
  • Required to climb stairways.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50-55 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period during shift.
