Job Description
Mount Indie is seeking an RF Engineer to provide research and development work implementing RF and SATCOM solutions at the tactical edge. As an Engineer on this team you will support the Naval Research Lab in the research, development, test and evaluation of tactical and weapon-based communications solutions. An emphasis will be on working in tandem with NRL engineers in developing testing, evaluating existing and evolving technologies, and documenting the findings of the programs being supported. Ideally, you are familiar with software and hardware tools for conducting communications analysis and testing, such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and open-source tools such as iPerf and Multi-Generator (MGEN).
Required Skills and Experience:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- 10 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience in developing and implementing RF solutions to communications requirements in the 8-40 GHz frequency range
- Skilled at the use of RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, real-time signal analyzer, etc.)
- Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop simulation concepts and methodologies
- Experience in documenting work products for long-term support and configuration management
- Clearance: Final DoD granted Top Secret with SCI eligibility
