Job Description: As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all operational aspects of our luxury lakeside resort. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will oversee and coordinate various departments to maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives aligned with the resort's goals and objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments to enhance guest experience, operational efficiency, and revenue generation.
  • Operational Oversight:
    • Provide leadership and direction to department heads in areas such as front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and recreational activities.
    • Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Implement effective cost-control measures without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.
  • Guest Satisfaction and Service Excellence:
    • Foster a culture of exceptional guest service throughout the resort.
    • Proactively address guest concerns and feedback to ensure prompt resolution and exceed guest expectations.
    • Conduct regular inspections of guest areas to maintain cleanliness, functionality, and overall ambiance.
  • Staff Management and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor department heads and staff members to maintain a highly skilled and motivated team.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development opportunities for employees.
    • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and mutual respect.
  • Financial Management:
    • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
    • Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
    • Implement effective inventory management practices and control systems to minimize waste and maximize profitability.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality management, with at least 2 years in a senior operational role.
    • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.
