Entry Level: $23.00 - $24.00 / hour

Mid Level: $24.01 - $28.00 / hour

Experienced: $28.01 - $33.00 / hour

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Job Summary:

As a welder, you will weld stainless steel, mild steel, and Nickel alloys in a manufacturing environment with a focus on TIG welding.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job
  • Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, machining, and welding techniques and equipment
  • Performs welding, and fit up processes to manufacture parts to drawing requirements while ensuring parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
  • Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and work areas
  • Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered
  • Maintains quality standards and works with QC
  • Follow safety guidelines, must not pose a risk to self or others, identify potential safety hazards, and initiates corrective action when necessary

  • Ability to read, understand and apply welding procedure specifications aligned to B31.3 and ASME IX
  • Ability to interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and resources effectively
  • Ability to perform math calculations with an understanding of decimal/fraction equivalence, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively inspect assigned work using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, bore gages, gauge pins, or special equipment as required
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal form

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-Year Welding Program certificate or demonstrated equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 3 Years TIG welding experience
  • Successful completion of an onsite welding test

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift to 40 pounds
