Would you like to work with passionate and committed standards publishing professionals? Would you like to contribute to an ever-growing body of engineering design and construction standards enhancing the safety and beauty of the built environment? The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is seeking a technical professional to guide committees through the content development process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting standards committees in successfully meeting their goals
  • Coordinating and participating in monthly committee meetings
  • Facilitating standards content creation, quality control, and schedule
  • Supporting internal cross-divisional teams for each standard
  • Posting web content about resources, procedures, rules, (ballots,) etc.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Associate's degree or higher in engineering, or
  • Two years of equivalent work experience in engineering, an association/professional society, and/or technical/scholarly publishing
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and software manipulations, i.e., outline templates, formatting documents, and creating formulas
  • Adeptness at developing and maintaining strong relationships with volunteers and supporting committees is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of ANSI rules and standards development is a plus
