Starting base salary range is $80,000-$90,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. Full benefits are available and the position is eligible for the Manager level annual bonus program.

Summary of Position:

AVIXA is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to join the dynamic team responsible for promoting InfoComm, the association’s annual North America trade show. The Senior Marketing Manager will develop, execute, and maintain various omnichannel campaigns to boost brand awareness and attendee and exhibitor acquisition in support of the show’s strategy and goals. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Exposition Marketing.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own all email marketing campaigns and craft compelling content for attendee and exhibitor promotions that highlight features and programs of the show, re-engage inactive audiences, and nurture prospective and registered attendees and exhibitors alike.
  • Employ marketing automation to deliver relevant content and maintain engagement throughout the show cycle.
  • Strategically acquire and grow audience by segmenting database with contact attributes, geographical location, and other key demographics.
  • Conduct A/B testing with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Utilize digital to complement email campaigns and extend brand reach to offline audiences.
  • Work closely with the Creative Services team or creative agency and external vendors to lead projects to completion – from planning to concept, list selection, and delivery.
  • Determine budget for direct mail campaigns and ensure projects are executed within financial constraints.
  • Research alternative methods of promoting events by staying abreast of marketing trends and incorporating engaging techniques into projects.
  • Handle marketing deliverables for the media partnership program: collaborate with the Communications and Creative Services teams to fulfill trade agreements including print and digital banner ads, webpage maintenance, and onsite publication bins.
  • Lead the creation of print ads featured in the Show Daily magazine distributed onsite during the show.
  • Be a point of contact for the show photographer and assist with coordinating pre-show logistics, managing photographer priorities onsite, and finalizing any post-show tasks.
  • Track campaign results and use the data to supplement and optimize future campaigns.
  • Assist with onsite duties at the show as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or English preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in event and/or B2B marketing
  • Previous employment at an association with trade show experience a strong plus
  • Familiarity working with a content management system (CMS) a plus
  • Familiarity working with a customer relationship management system (CRM) a plus
  • Experience with project management software a plus
  • Experience maintaining budgets and making effective use of resources
  • Knowledge of the AV industry a plus

Skills and Attributes

  • Impressive written and verbal communication skills with experience developing distinctive messaging and content
  • Exceptional command of spelling and grammar are a must
  • Ambitious mindset with a demonstrated ability to bring ideas to fruition
  • Excellent organizational skills, follow-through capability, and ability to prioritize own work
  • Conscientious attention to detail with a keen eye for creativity, design, and new trends in marketing
  • Comfortable working autonomously as needed, as well as cross-functionally in a professional and diplomatic fashion
  • Problem-solving self-starter who seeks solutions and perseveres amid ambiguity
  • Basic proficiency in Photoshop, or other design programs, and HTML coding are helpful but not required

Travel – 10%

As needed to assist at InfoComm trade shows or conferences in the United States.
