Spa Gift Shop Associate

St Julien Hotel & Spa Spa is looking for an enthusiastic Gift Shop Sales Associate who will be responsible for overseeing Gift Shop inventory and operations, assisting guests with all aspects of product purchases, and receiving payments for all Gift Shop Items.

Essential Job Functions:

• Create and maintain attractive, clean, and engaging product displays.
• Possesses excellent knowledge of all Spa treatments in order to accurately answer guest inquiries regarding products used which they might want to purchase.
• Handle all cash and credit transactions and ensure proper payment is received for each purchase.
• Unpack and check-in all incoming boxes of products, tag and display all new inventory and re-merchandise product displays as needed.
• Carefully prepare merchandise for shipping as needed and accurately document appropriate shipping data.
• Maintain a welcoming presence on the Gift Shop floor and monitor general cleanliness of the area.
• Work creatively and diligently to exceed budgeted revenue and profit goals.
• Participate in monthly inventory process.
• Follows St Julien’s Environmental Commitment and disposes of waste and recycling according to standards.
• Attend scheduled brand trainings and assist with special projects/promotions in the Gift Shop as needed.
• Other duties as requested by manager.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail sales experience required. High-end and/or luxury retail experience highly preferred.
• Ideal candidate must be someone friendly and outgoing who can communicate effectively with all levels of associates and guests, and who works well both as part of a team and autonomously
• Must be able to stand for several hours at a time and be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis.
• Must have flexible availability and be able to work weekends and holidays. Must be able to work the 1st of every month to participate in monthly inventory process.
