POSITION/JOB TITLE: Junior Staff Accountant
LOCATION: Corporate Office Itasca
POSITION REPORTS TO: Staff Accountant
The Junio Staff Accountant will provide financial, clerical, and administrative services to support the accounting department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Accounting Duties:
- Review weekly revenue reporting from hotel properties.
- Prepare and enter monthly journal entries.
- Intercompany billings
- Bank Reconciliations
- Assist Property Accountants with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Setting up workpapers for month end
Qualifications:
- Prior accounting experience; 1-3 years
- Highschool Diploma
- Hotel experience is helpful, but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
