Basic Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or related field; or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Clearance Requirements:

Department of Defense Top Secret with Polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for a dedicated and adaptive Analyst/Technical Trainer to serve as the primary interface with new and existing employees as the Customer's dedicated technical training Subject-Matter Expert and presenter of relevant program materials. The selectee will aid in the development and maintenance of a robust analytic and technical training curriculum by providing expertise on a range of telecommunications related topics and information. The selectee will work with on-site Customer Trainer to schedule technical training programs, both domestically and globally. The selectee will aid in evaluating how well new-hires and Staff officers are progressing and provide feedback to Customer and analysts as needed. The selectee will have opportunities to leverage existing expertise and have personal training opportunities from both Customer and GDMS for continued personal and profession development. The selectee will be responsible for the following:

Position Objectives within 1 year include:

  • Work closely with the Customer's currently assigned technical SMEs in order to glean and synthesize best practices to support the development of onboarding course materials and present relevant training materials
  • Ensuring new office personnel are provided with the initial training needed to rapidly integrate into the Customer's mission space
  • Proven ability to be an effective contributor within and across teams by communication complex technical information that enhances the Customer cadre's knowledge base
  • Working with the COTR, Program Management Office (PMO) members, and various customer stakeholders to identify training program development needs
  • Work closely with Customer Training Lead to refine existing content and create new programs while seeking strategies to maintain long term technical health of the program
  • Identify and analyze knowledge/informational gaps, then design and develop creative learning solutions in an evolving analytic and technical environment
  • Participate in planning and policy development issues related to current and future program training requirements
  • Opportunity to develop and provide training modules that demonstrate the use of Customer tools, data sources, and tradecraft

  • Ability to align the team on strategic objectives of technical training activity

  • Ability to implement new initiatives applicable to the training techniques and methodologies

Target salary range: USD $141,630.00/Yr. - USD $157,120.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
