About this job

As a Warehouse Manager, you will assist with overall warehouse operations including achieving goals in safety, service levels, damage, costs, personnel, and staffing. This position also coordinates warehouse activities between all shifts.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Manages and reviews all policies and procedures within the warehouse.
  • Maintains a personal development plan for each individual who reports to them and assists the Shift Managers and Leads in the people development efforts.
  • Assists warehouse management in managing manpower needs, utilization of warehouse as it relates to space, slotting, and product flow, and managing production standards.
  • Meets designated warehouse cost metrics, and develop cost-reduction strategies.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.


YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent Dot Foods' experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products


YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

  • Working knowledge of distribution or warehouse processes or systems
  • Ability to function in a multi-task environment.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data.


ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Supervision - Warehouse Trainers
  • Schedule- Monday-Friday and includes a minimum of 6 hours on nights weekly. Some weekends as needed.
  • Travel- Approx. 2-5 times per year to company meetings and planning events. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
