Title: Medical Technologist / Lab Scientist – MLS/MT
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Setting: Laboratory - Hospital
Location: Brattleboro, VT
Schedule: Full-time, Days, 10hr or 12hr shift options, block schedule
Pay: Pay based on license and years of experience, plus full benefits package
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Medical Technologist duties to include, but not limited to:
-Demonstrates technical expertise necessary for accurate and reliable performance of testing in all applicable (chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, blood banking and limited microbiology/molecular) areas of the laboratory
-Performs patient, quality control, proficiency, quality assurance testing and required documentation processes timely and accurately
-Acquires and updates knowledge pertinent to policies, specimen collection, test procedures, and instrumentation
-Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
-ASCP certification required – Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- B.S. in Medical Technology or related science preferred
-2-4 years experience in a clinical laboratory for MT preferred
-3-5 years experience in a clinical laboratory for MLT preferred
