Minimum 1+ years Cath Lab experience required.
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech needed for a travel assignment in Rockeville, Maryland.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent.
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities:
Procedure Preparation and Set-Up:
- Prepare and set up the catheterization laboratory for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Ensure all necessary equipment, supplies, and instrumentation are available and functioning properly.
Assistance During Procedures:
- Assist cardiologists and other healthcare providers during catheterization procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement.
- Operate imaging equipment to visualize and capture high-quality diagnostic images in real-time.
Patient Care and Monitoring:
- Position patients for cath lab procedures, providing comfort and maintaining safety.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, assessing vital signs, and responding promptly to any changes.
