JOB DESCRIPTION

Schedule is set for the year
Employee is locked in shift
This is a Contract to Hire role. Should the site want to convert the contractor, the offer is contingent upon passing a Work Key evaluation

Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent

800am
430pm

First day will be classroom training.
First week there will be some on the floor training.
Upon arrival on Day 1 the site will provide your schedule the remainder of the week. For those hired to support Nights, they would start the following day to allow time to sleep.
Start Details

Site will require 24 hours to coordinate start.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to ensure the site can get you checked in and to the designated location.
Upon arriving at the site, if the gate is closed, you will need to press the call button in order for the gate to be opened.
Please park in the visitor parking, enter the building through the main door and complete the sign in process.
Karen Stephens will come get you from the lobby a few minutes before class starts.

Business partners are expected to maintain an appearance that is appropriate, neat and clean, as determined by the requirements of the work area. Dress and appearance should not be offensive to customers or other business partners. Please adhere to the following, in particular when in a manufacturing area:
No shorts, halter tops, or cut off T shirts
No open toe/heel shoes or high heels in plant
No extremely loose clothing
No dangling jewelry

Job Description
The Packaging Operator role is the entry level role at the Mt. Vernon facility. This role is responsible for packaging, cleaning, and relieving for breaks. This role will primarily work in the production area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Spotting out bound trucks into material load docks, ensuring dock locks
Reclaiming off quality Unbonded Loosefill and refeeding the material to the forehearth
Packaging operator placing bags on bagger equipment snouts ensuring proper packaging of finished goods
material

Performs general cleanup duties in designated areas

Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes
Perform special needs as determined by plant staff
Participates in safety and housekeeping programs as established within the plant.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
1 to 3 years manufacturing experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions
Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
Must have the ability to multitask
Must have strong internal and external customer service skills
Must work well in team environment
Must be able to work independently
Must have to ability to do intermediate mathematical calculations
