About this job
Amentum is looking for a Pipefitter to join our team in McLean, VA. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible to layout, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping and piping systems, water softeners, fixtures, as well as equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, domestic water, sewer, industrial processing systems. You will perform these tasks based on a knowledge of system operations and study of building plans or working drawings.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Journeyman steam fitter or plumbers license required.
- Must obtain within one year and maintain back flow prevention testing and maintenance certification.
- Have a thorough knowledge of rest room plumbing systems, sprinkler systems domestic water, steam, and condensate systems.
- Have a thorough working knowledge of plumbing codes, sprinkler codes and practices.
- Must be able to physically lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master Plumbing License or Master Steam Fitter license.
- Ability to write correspondence.
