SUMMARY:
The Nurse Supervisor reports to the Director of Practice Operations (DPO) and is responsible and accountable for clinical support (50%), clinical leadership (40%), and administrative tasks (10%) that impact the quality of care rendered in the Ambulatory Specialty clinics. The Nurse Supervisor would provide oversight of the non-licensed and licensed clinical support staff to ensure accountability, using nursing protocols to guarantee the safety and quality of care for every patient assigned to the clinic. The Nurse Supervisor will provide guidance, education, and direction to the clinical support personnel through staff development and performance improvement. Under the direction of the DPO, works to enhance the clinics’ throughput while enforcing safety management guidelines to include the observance of universal precautions, prevention of workplace injuries and other infection control policies and procedures. The Nurse Supervisor will conduct non-surgical in-office procedures/services and other duties as needed.
Location: Grady Correll Pavilion/Main Campus
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
· Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in State of Georgia
· 3 years of clinical Nursing experience
· Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
· Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
· Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
· Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 90-days of employment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Professional nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting
· Experience in Specialty Care areas
· 3 or more years of supervisory experience
· Proficient with EMR systems such as EPIC
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
