General Position Overview:

The Appointment Clerk will be primarily responsible for scheduling pick-up and delivery appointments. This position will create and maintain third party partner deliveries and communicate information internally. The Appointment Clerk will provide administrative support by performing general clerical duties (i.e. filing, keying, emailing, maintaining appointment inbox, tracking late arrivals/departures) while exemplifying our MIDWEST Values.

General Accountabilities include:

  • Schedule pick-up and delivery appointments and enter into systems
  • Update customer portals with appointment, arrival & departure, and accessorial information
  • Assist with rescheduling appointments as needed
  • Create and maintain partner deliveries and communicate to the team
  • Flexibility in roles based on current business needs

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work in and learn online scheduling portals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Decision making & problem-solving skills
  • Willing and able to learn technology

Prerequisites:

  • Industry experience (2 years preferred)
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Familiarity with scheduling appointments

Performance Measurements:

  • Number of appointments scheduled per day
  • Timeliness of appointments entered in to TMS
  • Updating customer portals per customer required timelines
  • Display of MIDWEST Values
