Commercial property owner seeks an experienced Lease Administrator with strong commercial real estate and/or legal secretarial experience to manage company’s portfolio consisting of retail strip centers, industrial space and office buildings.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate leases in collaboration with leasing and property management professionals.
  • Prepare detailed lease abstracts to track pertinent terms.
  • Author communications to tenants, e.g. delivery of possession, default notices.
  • Initiate court filings and collections, track payment plans and make recommendations for resolving accounts in arrears.
  • Maintain detailed archives of lease documents and correspondence with tenants.
  • Report insurance claims to carriers and track all claims until they have been settled.
  • Track certificates of insurance (COI’s) received from tenants.
  • Process paperwork for move-in and move-out of tenants.
  • Review Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations and estimates prepared by accounting department.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of lease administration experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize a wide range of responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal, writing and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
